Sharing from the heart, Jesus told His followers, “You are witnesses of these things.”
Everyone has a story to tell…. sometimes you think that yours isn’t significant enough to share. Perhaps you think it’s nothing great. Every testimony for Christ is an example of how Jesus works in our lives and that He meets you just where you are. I know because I used to think that mine was insignificant. Until I started sharing my experiences and how God’s love overcame the most difficult situations in my life. Your story matters more than you think.
We all have a story that we can share. Sometimes it takes a little push for us to speak out and share. But your story could be one of encouragement that someone needs to hear. It is easier to relate to someone that has been through a similar situation to you, than a person who has had a perfect life with no trials and tribulations. Broken people help other broken people. In the Christian experience, our regeneration should be a testament (evidence) to other people that Jesus is alive and is changing lives. We testify by our words and actions. If our lives are a testimony for Jesus Christ, then they should be reflections of Christ as we “follow in His steps” (1 Peter 2:21)
A Christian who wants to live his life as a testimony for Jesus will love God above all else and love others above himself. When a believer shares what Jesus has done in their life and serves God daily. They will reflect the life-giving power of Christ in a dark world.
Being a follower of Christ means leaving the past behind. Looking up and remembering who sits on the throne. God loves us more than we could ever imagine. We limit ourselves to receive His love.
Remember Jesus doesn’t call qualified people, he qualifies the called!
